Eric Gomez

Owner/Administrator

Eric Gomez brings a strong background in service and an unwavering dedication to excellence in home care. His personal experiences and deep empathy helped inspire the foundation of HomeCare Family, where he and his wife, Veronica, identified a critical need for dependable, qualified caregiving. Eric’s passion for building something meaningful is rooted in his belief that integrity and ethical standards must guide every decision.

He is especially committed to supporting caregivers with stable employment and environments that empower them to succeed—knowing that when caregivers thrive, so do the families they serve. Eric also believes in active listening, using feedback from both clients and caregivers to continuously improve and fine-tune services.

Outside of work, Eric is a proud and active father of five boys, all under the age of 15, and enjoys traveling, learning about different cultures, and building connections around the world. His approach to caregiving is centered on the idea that strong caregiver-client partnerships lead to the happiest, healthiest families.

Veronica Gomez

Owner/Business Manager

Veronica Gomez is the heart behind HomeCare Family’s compassionate mission. With a deep-rooted belief in providing ethical, client-centered care, she co-founded the agency alongside her husband, Eric, to bridge the gap between families’ expectations and the actual quality of care available in the home care industry. Veronica’s empathetic nature and eye for detail play a key role in shaping the agency’s philosophy.

She is especially passionate about nurturing caregiver relationships—knowing that when caregivers feel valued and supported, clients benefit the most. Veronica is a strong advocate for consistency, trust, and open communication in every caregiving relationship, ensuring each client receives personalized, high-quality support.

A dedicated mother of five boys under 15, Veronica balances her professional role with a busy family life filled with sports, scouting, and more. She shares a love of travel with Eric and emphasizes the importance of seeing caregiving as a partnership—one built on mutual respect and care, leading to better outcomes and peace of mind for everyone involved.

Mary Lou Haidnick, RN

Director of Client Care

With over 40 years of nursing experience, including case management in rehabilitation and home health settings, Mary Lou Haidnick, RN, brings a wealth of expertise to HomeCare Family. For the past six years, she has served as our Supervisor of Client Care, driven by a passion for ensuring our clients receive the highest quality care.
Mary Lou’s commitment to excellence begins with our caregivers. Drawing on her seven years of experience teaching the CNA program at Lone Star College, she developed and implements HomeCare Family’s comprehensive caregiver training program. She evaluates caregiver skills upon hiring, provides ongoing education, and offers daily support to address any questions or concerns.

For our clients, Mary Lou reviews initial Plans of Care and conducts home visits to assess needs and recommend adjustments that promote independence. She also coordinates care with other healthcare providers, such as home health and hospice agencies, ensuring seamless and comprehensive support.

Mary Lou’s responsibilities extend to critical areas of HomeCare Family’s operations. She oversees infection control protocols, contributes to updating care plans, leads weekly staff meetings, and plays a vital role in quality control and emergency preparedness.

What Mary Lou finds most rewarding about her role is witnessing the positive impact of her guidance on both clients and caregivers, empowering them with improved and safer care practices.

Outside of work, Mary Lou enjoys entertaining, spending time with her two sisters and many friends, and tending to her beloved cat, Nikki, who has been part of her life for 15 years. Her true passion is gardening, which she considers her personal “vacation paradise,” enjoying its tranquility every evening throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

Tori Wade-Battles

Care Coordinator

As Care Coordinator at HomeCare Family, I am dedicated to fostering strong relationships with our clients, their families, and our exceptional caregivers. My primary responsibility is to ensure our clients receive the highest quality of life possible while providing much-needed respite for their families. This involves carefully assessing and meeting client needs, recognizing when care plan updates are necessary, and ensuring those plans are followed meticulously. For nearly six years, I also managed scheduling, a role I continue to support and guide as needed.

My career in caregiving began long before joining HomeCare Family. Prior to 2019, I spent five years at an adult day care facility, starting as a caregiver, earning my nurse aide certification, and eventually working my way up to manager. My passion for caregiving is deeply rooted in my personal life. Growing up with a disabled mother, I naturally took on a caregiving role. As a mother of four – two grown, one nearly grown, and a 13-year-old – family has always been my priority. When my own family became more independent, transitioning into professional caregiving felt like a natural extension of my lifelong dedication to helping others.

What I cherish most about my work is the connection with people. Whether it’s the administrative team, caregivers, families, or clients, each individual brings unique value to my life. I am continually learning and growing from these interactions. I am incredibly proud to be part of HomeCare Family, an agency that I believe sets the standard for excellence in the field.

Outside of work, I am passionate about learning more about health and enjoy unwinding with a good crime show.

Brian Estores

Scheduler and Recruiter

As a Scheduling/Recruiting Specialist, Brian plays a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive the highest quality care. He is responsible for carefully matching caregivers with families, taking into account their unique needs and preferences. Brian also handles the intricate task of scheduling, making sure shifts are covered and caregivers are supported.

Brian’s background is unique. With 7 years of experience in the travel sales industry, he brings strong communication and problem-solving skills to the home care industry. This experience translates seamlessly into his ability to connect with families and caregivers, understand their needs, and find creative solutions.

What Brian enjoys most about working in home care is the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. “Keeping our caregivers happy and our clients happy is what it’s all about,” he says. “It’s rewarding to know that I’m helping to provide comfort and support to those who need it most.”

When not at work, Brian can often be found behind the lens of a camera, pursuing his passion for photography.
